One beautiful summer’s day, While princess Europa and her maidens were gathering flowers, she saw a magnificent white bull who behaved like no other.
The bull, was no other than a love struck Zeus who transformed himself into the tame white beast and mixed in with her father's herds, in an attempt to steal her away as his prized possession.
Zeus took that opportunity and ran to the sea and swam, with her on his back, to the island of Crete. He then revealed his true identity, and Europa became the first queen of Crete, leaving behind her a frenzy that would lead to a foundation of a whole new continent.
